Replacement Potterton Suprima 30

Hi folks !!
My first post.
We moved into a new home Dec 1999 the property was fitted with the above. We have a yearly maintenance contract however the engineer has said perhaps we ought to think about upgrading as the boiler is now 15 years old "No doubt on instruction from BG".
To cut a long story short what equivalent boiler would we need for replacement ?.
Regardless of make....

A 12kw boiler will be adequate. Why replace a perfectly good boiler. It'll take eons to regain the cost of a replacement.
If you don't plan on any extensions etc, then a 12 kW boiler will be fine.

Keep it. I have the same boiler and its been going strong for over 18 years and the only problem is the well known lock-out issue, resolved by getting your gas safe engineer to fit the improved PCB. This fix alone is worth it compared to a new boiler.

Taken two of these out this week already. Replaced with Intergas 18 OV and SB variants.


Actually just checked and the OV replaced one of my early installations. Almost feel emotional
