I installed a Wickes externally mounted mixer shower unit in the 1980s and it has begun to drip. Is it possible to obtain a spare cartridge for it from anywhere?

Alternatively, is there available on the market a new mixer unit made with adjustments which will fit the existing coupling - 1/2" hot and cold fittings whose centres are 5" (127mm) apart?

Hi,

Have you attempted to remove the cartridges yet?
If so, can you post some images (of them and the mixer) and we may be able to help you identify them.

Alternatively you can contact 'The Shower Doctor':
https://www.showerdoc.com/
who have a large range of spare parts.

If you want to have a go at a fix yourself,
you could try cleaning up the cartridge and leaving it to soak in descaler for a couple of hours - this may or may not help, but it's a cheap experiment to try!

I have not attemped to dismantle yet but thanks very much for your suggestions and the link - which I will follow.
