Can anyone offer any advice please ?

The Thermostat in the hall way has been bust so I popped to Wickes and bought a replacement a T6360 according to the instructions.

As you can see from the (blurry sorry) photo below there is a difference between the two.

The old thermostat has the Earth far left, then a blue, yellow and then red wire.

The new Thermostat looks identical apart from the fact that there is no screw in for the Earth ? I thought maybe I could remove the screw from point 4 (in the middle) as its un-used but the copper backing seems like its molded in.

Have I bought a dud or am I missing something here ?

Thanks for any help

If you can use a screw to keep the CPC (earth) in place that will be fine, otherwise just terminate it in a connector block and position safely.

As for the other terminals, they look the same but make sure from the instructions that they are.
