Just been reading a Wickes "How To" leaflet about fitting replacement uPVC barge-boards and soffits.
It doesn't seem too complicated, once you learn the jargon: fascia, barge board, soffits, eaves, verge tiles etc. The trickiest bit seems to be where it mentions that eaves tiles must be propped up temporarily until the new barge boards are in place.
Is barge board replacement within the average DIYers grasp?
Companies seem to charge 2 to 3k for a job which is completed in a day and where the materials only cost 2 to 300 quid.
