Morning all,

I am trying to replace a dimmer switch with a standard switch.

I'd hoped it would be a case of a simple switch over however when changing over neither light works so clearly something not right.

I've attached the original dimmer wiring configuration.
When wiring the replacement switch, the same wires went into the L1 and L2 positions and the other wires went into the common slots but no joy (pic attached but not very clear).

I've now put the dimmer back on for now. Any help appreciated as I don't want to start randomly changing wires around.

Thanks

The picture of the new switch is not clear enough, but

I suspect you are using the top and bottom of the new switch as the equivalent terminals when in fact it is two triangles, one beside the other.

Swap the wires in the the two COMs.
