We have a double light switch that was working intermittently after being switched off and on a number of times.
Having taken the plate off I think some wires may have come loose and I was wondering whether someone might be able to advise what should go where.
There are four blocks/gangs with a terminal at both the top and bottom of each, ie 8 in total, currently the wires are attached thus:

● ● ● ●black

red ● ● ●yel ●

I have two wires loose, one black, one red and the yellow and green wire earthed via the metal backing box.

Any help as to what terminals these should go to would be greatly appreciated

So, you have four switches with eight terminals and five wires (excl CPC(s) earth(s)).

A picture MAY help but it does not look promising.

Hiya
It's two switches and eight terminals as per the diagram - they were lined up until I uploaded them...
Not sure how I would upload a picture here?
Thanks for your help
