I'm replacing a radiator, and will be draining system down. Do I need to isolate gas supply to boiler? Or will it be ok to just turn central heating off?

I'm asking this because the last time I turned off the pilot light on the boiler it was a real pain to re-light it.

Thanks.

Not entirely sure but I always thought you have to turn the boiler off completely. If it's not lighting very easily then will probably need a service.

You might get away with just turning off CH but i've always switched all of it off.
