Not being a plumber (but a senior member of the "weaker' sex) I am not sure what the part I want to replace is called, so please be kind (Grin) The stainless steel ring around the opening to the bath plug hole has started to "flake" and looks unsightly. I have purchased a new one which has a screw type fitment. How do I get the old one out? My bath tub is in one moulded piece - must have been built into the room before the wall was completed. So, with no removable panel, there is no way to get underneath the bath tub. Can it be removed from inside the bath, by putting something down the plug hole (an pulling hard), or will I have problems unscrewing the old one from the pipework?

Will I need to replace the bath? Any help is greatly appreciated.
