Hi there,

I want to replace the existing bath taps with bath / shower mixer taps.

Can someone give me advice on where to start, i.e. if this is possible, what kind of taps to buy and tell me what things to look out for, is this a relatively simple job?

Thanks in advance for any replies. ;)

If you have a combination boiler then you will be able to use most replacements on the market.

If you have a gravity fed system ( ie tanks in the loft ) then you must buy taps that are suitable for gravity fed systems as the internal bores are larger and allow the correct flow.

Many people assume a tap, is a tap, is a tap, and it aint....!

People look in complete dismay when they see the trickle that comes from the cheap eBay purchased sealed system taps fitted to their gravity fed system, unknowingly incompatible. ;)
