Hello,

I need to replace the handles on two plastic window frames, since I have lost their keys and so cannot open these windows. I don't need handles with keys, since I live on the 14th floor and so there is no security issue.

My query is, can this be done without paying a locksmith? I can't work out how to remove the old handles without damaging the internal mechanism of the windows. Can anyone please advise me?

Here is a photo of one of the windows.

Thanks,
Mike.

snap the handle open fast, undo the 2 screws job done

Drill out lock, will require lockable replacements to prevent small children falling to their death.

Locking tilt and turn handles would be the ones i'd fit.

As for taking the old handles off you need to open them to reveal the hidden screw, i'd either pick them or drill the little euro oval cylinder type thing to release the handle
