my hall and bathroom have had spotlights installed.

the old ceilling rose in the hall has been placed in the loft with the feed to lights running from it. and the bathroom uses chocolate blocks.

I would like to replace these with covered boxes but junction boxes don't seem to replicate the rose connections. how many wires is it safe to put into one connector clamp. I have four in some cases (live in, live out, live to switch and live to smoke alarm) is it good practice to have the earths in a loose connector block inside the box.

Thanks fo reading

no

buy 20A or 30A junction boxes, they are much bigger than those piddling little 5a lighting JBs
