replacing door handles

Hi guys I plan to replace five door handles with a modern circular type however just realised that the holes will be visible from the previous handle as the one ones are smaller. Is it easy to hide these holes in some way or will I need new doors? Thanks!

They look like compressed board faced hollow doors and TBH they are a nightmare to repair

FYI it is the screw holes highlighted in red not the big centre hole as that is where the new handle is going. Thanks.

Use a two part wood filler or car filler, new handles need fitting correctly or will just pull out of a hollow door.
