Hi all,

I would like to replace my Drayton SM2 with the latest Nest (v3) with hot water control. Could someone provide me with some guidance? I've attached my existing setup, including the current thermostat and boiler.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

Have you read the instruction manual?

Your current programmer has poorly installed wiring that does not meet basic electrical installation requirements. I would recommend calling a decent electrician to tidy up the wiring, and they can install the Nest at the same time.

freddo - thanks for your response. I did read the manual however I've had a sparky out and you're right, the wiring is far from ideal/not standard (he said it's only the second house he's seen with it done like this.)

He's now installed the Nest, however I cannot turn on the heating without having the pump running all the time, is that right?
