Hi.
Appreciate any help here.
I am replacing a hard wired 7.7kw powered ceramic hob with a 2.9kw 13amp induction hob with a 3 pin plug.
The 6mm wire from the hob goes into a counter-top non-fused cooker switch which also switches on/off the seperate oven.
Can I just add a normal 3 pin plug socket to the wire going into the old hob and, if so, should it be fused as well or will the fuse on the new hob plug suffice?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Unless someone else can think of other issues, I can see no problem in doing that. The fuse in the plug would be adequate - no additional fuse needed.

Kind Regards, John

Hi John.
Many thanks for taking the time to reply.
All the best.
