Replacing LP522 and Digistat SCR with Hive

Looking for advice in swapping out existing LP522 and Drayton Digistat SCR for Hive 2 Hot Water & Temp controller.
Current set up is LP522 goes into junction box as does the connection from the SCR. See pics for current set up..

Appreciate any advice On how to do this please.

The programmer wiring is exactly the same as the Hive 2 - straight swap.

Remove the digistat cable completely from the wiring centre.
Then put a link wire between terminals 2 and 3

Just so I am sure. If I Wire the Hive Dual control as per attached pic all will be good?

No. The link between 2 and 3 is at the wiring centre - not the Hive.

Otherwise correct.



Won't the Hive just fit on the existing programmer back plate?
You can change it if you want.

About to do this tomorrow (replacing an LF722 & Digistat SCR) All looks fairly simple. Just a swap out and then removal of the Digistat. Can I just ask out of interest why the link between 2 + 3 (just in case my junction box differs to the one above)?

Think I’ve worked it out! It’s the 2 switched wires (?)
