I am planning to replace the main stopcock under the kitchen sink because the handle has snapped off and it needs to go in a slightly different place due to new kitchen units.

I've got a 20mm OD blue plastic pipe coming up from the ground, am I correct in thinking I can just get something like this:

Does the plastic pipe attach the same way as copper compression fits? I saw some stopcocks come with a "pipe liner", is this needed and should I get a new one or ok to reuse the existing one?

You do not need to replace the pipe liner and with a bit of luck your new tap will adapt to the existing comp nut to save having to remove the olive.
