I am instilling underfloor heating. Half of the Ground Floor is suspended, half a concrete slab.
I have broken up the slab and will re-lay it with 100mm insulation.
For the suspended floors however - 100mm joists, i was planning to insulated between the joists (room for 75mm celotex) then install the underfloor heating pipes in a 25mm EPS board above that, to finish flush with the joists, maintaining my original floor height.

When i took the floor up, the oversite is nice and reasonably flat, so i was thinking.... To save having the batten under the joists and cut all the insulation into the gaps and to improve thermal performance:
Can i remove the sleeper walls and joists, lay 200mm of EPS onto the oversite, then my underfloor heating panels on top @ 25mm, then the floating structural deck (rather than chipboard, i am looking at Knauf Brio dry screed floor for max performance and quick install), as a floating floor ?
Blocking up the air vents as there will be no suspended floors left on the GF and laying a DPM under the EPS.

I need 225mm for the EPS and underfloor heating buildup height, can i level the oversite off with sand 10-15mm to make up the difference (currently measures 235 - 240mm)?
Any advice welcome.
