Replacing old 3-way switches

I have old 3-way light switches with 3 wires attached to one side of the switch. The new switches have one wire going to one side and 2 wires to the other side. How do I know which old wires go to where on the new switches?

i don't know what the connections will be but provided the old switch is still working you should be able to find out by testing both switches with a multimeter.
