You should be able to fit a modern one.

However, there is no knowing how its been wired just by looking at the colour of the wires.

It needs tracing or someone with some skill could work it out with measurements.

Afaik, the old honeywell numbering is the same as the new one. If somebody can confirm that, you should be able to swap like for like.
Bear in mind that you are working on 230V, so if you are not sure about working with electricity, get someone who is to do it for you.

I can confirm that old Honeywell wiring is the same as new Honeywell wiring, I did a direct swap for a very old one onto a new 6360 just last week, make sure you get the right colour wires lined up to the right numbers (write them down somewhere) and you'll be well away.

A three wire stat means it has a neutral connection for the anticipator.

Only the T6360 uses an anticipator and will still need a neutral.

The digital versions do not have an antipator, so the neutral is not required.
