After re-fitting a rad taken off for plaster repairs, I've gone to bleed the rads through and the valve 'grub' screw (i know it's not a grub screw but you get my drift) has split in two. Is there an easy way to replace these? Can I get a new one and drive the old one through?

The half screw is holding and isn't leaking but I can't bleed the back panel of the rad and I'd prefer something a bit more secure. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

if you can get another screw you could try drilling it and use a screw extractor

my fav is drill it out and use a self tapping screw with an o ring under the head ;)

If the vent is in a 1/2" plug then you can change it no probs. depends on type of radiator, a picture would help, and no i dont think you can drive it through!!!

Sounds like a Barlo rad to me.

Are the nipple on the back of the panels.
