Hi all, have the above "reduced temperature range" thermostat in my house and the problem is the house isn't warm enough with it at the top setting (it says 23 degrees but in reality its more like 21). It's a new build house so I guess its an energy saving feature but I would like to replace it with a thermostat with a higher temperature range. I don't have any central heating knowledge but it appears I could just buy the RTS 4 model and swop them over and problem solved. Does that sound okay - I don't want to destroy my heating system! The main bit I didn't understand when researching this is that my current thermostat has "volt free contacts", don't know what this means but I assume I should have the same feature on any replacement thermostat and the RTS 4 model appears to have this. Many thanks for any help. Not sure exactly what type of boiler I have but the house is 7 years old and its a Gloworm boiler with a Megaflo system. Cheers!
