Replacing some pipes for new rad..

So I'm learning and new to this....

Im replacing a radiator and the pipes under the floor are a mess so I'm going to replace some of that too... I have a few questions

- are the plastic pipe inserts specific to pipe brands or can any insert go into the correct size pipe (I don't know what brand of pipe is currently under my floor)

- I'm thinking of going with tectite sprint push fit. Can these be used with both copper and plastic pipes.

The pipe inserts are specific to each brand of pipe. If you use "Brand A" inserts with "Brand B" pipe, you can forget any warranty. You may well find the manufacturer / range name printed on the pipe.

Tectite sprint is compatible with copper and plastic.
