I need to replace the odd floor boards as when plumber ripped a few out they are a bit worse for wear. Is it best to use tounge and groove is is regular wood the same size ok as t and g can't be reused anyway

I used 25mm plywood to replace broken boards in my flat. The advantage of ply is that it won't warp over time, and it lets you get a screw closer to the edge.

txg boards are about 7mm narrower than a standard plank which in turn will be around 7mm smaller than the sawn imperial size as in
6x1 par[plained all round]is actually around 21mm x145mm or with txg around 138mm
now this point is only rellivent if you gap is 140 and you cant trim the planks length wise
