Hi,

Ive never repressurised a boiler and need some help. I’ve read some other threads on this but the pictures and descriptions seem to differ a bit from what I have here so thought I would post here.

I understand the general concept bht just am not sure which levers to turn. I’m not great on the vocabulary so descriptive help would be great when pointing to specific levers etc

Thanks in advance for any help!

Please note that I'm DIY only as far as gas boilers are concerned.

In your first picture there is a flexible hose with a black lever valve at both ends of it. Open one of those fully (a quarter turn) and open the other slightly until you hear the hiss of water flowing, the pressure gauge shown in your third picture should show the system pressure. 1 bar will probably be enough to get it working (the black number 1 on the left of the gauge) . Don't add too much pressure. Close both black lever valves when the pressure is high enough.

In photo two you have removed the front cover of the boiler. I believe that this should only be done by a Gas Safe engineer as the boiler is room sealed and this cover is required to keep it safe. It should not be necessary to remove any cover of the boiler to increase the system water pressure. DO NOT ALLOW THE BOILER TO START UP WITH THAT COVER REMOVED.

Hopefully a professional will be along soon to advise.
