Hey all, so been using my respirator and realized it gets dusty on the surface, so I removed the filters and gave it a rinse. Though the other day I say white bits inside which is worrying as I've been using it when breaking off and stripping lead paint and also for breaking off bits of plaster. I then realized after I rinse it and it dries there is dry white residue leaking from the valve and opening flaps into the mask. When the residue dries it crumbles into tiny bits inside the mask, hence breathing this crap in :-\
I think this stuff must be all the dust trapped in the gaps somehow leaking inside when washed. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this with their respirators?
