Hi All.

I'm trying to understand how I should be setting things for normal operation and none of the manuals can tell me.

I have a Glowworm 30SXI system boiler and an Ariston unvented cylinder with a Ariston 60001652 Indirect Thermostat and Imersion heater for hot water storage.

If my understanding is correct, the Glowworm heats water for both the central heating and hot water and the Thermostat and Imersion heater in the Ariston are a backup in case of problems with the Glowworm

The thermostat has a cable running from a 240V wall switch to the immersion heater and a cable running out of the thermostat to a junction box below the Central heating controller.

Now, my quesrion is, should the CAEM Thermostat be switched on at the wall and how should the temperature be adjusted on the Thermostat when the Glowworm is operating normally?

Should it be switched off at the wall or what? I've tried looking this up on line, but I can't find anything!

Thanks in advance.

Mark
