Hi all
Here is my flat roof:
I have plans drawn up to turn this into a decked roof terrace. It will be removable and will stand directly on the felt using soft padded feet.
The roof surface has two layers of asphalt (3 inches of it or so), and then felt.
Structural engineers shave assessed the roof is strong enough for that and the decking. Roofers have also assessed the condition of the roof surface is good.
Even though the decking design is removable for maintenance access, I want to be as cautious as possible. I was wondering if there was such thing as - or if anyone would recommend something else - as a membrane or sheeting we could add to the surface of the felt for further waterproofing.
PS: Yes, the roof fall will be fixed before anything goes down!
