retaining wall question.
Small retaining wall (16" high (2 blocks)) will be finished off with loose stones up the front to give a dry stone wall appearance. The wall has no DPM in it - so would there be any point in trying to waterproof the back of the wall with bitumen paint ? (the wall will be damp with rising damp) or is it important to try and stop the wall becoming soaked and then damaged by frost ?
