Hi All,
Just had an survey done on a house im interested in... they pointed out that the front retaining wall is in need of repair. The house is a mid terrace that is raised off the road with small front garden area and retaining wall onto the pavement and street. Would somone be able to offer a little advice on how easy this type of thing would be to repair or if its likley a major rebuild job. Also any vauge indication on cost would be great!
There is some bulg occurring.

Looks like the front section has split off and is leaning I'd suspect.

Walls like that we put a face of concrete up the front with a huge foundation below and re barred.
Mind you when the found is dug then its almost certain to fall.
Would cost you tens of thousands.

Not sure what rates Sheffield Brickies are on, but it would certainly not cost you tens of thousands of pounds, all though its not a small job by any means.

Location, logistics, difficulty rating, liability, services etc are all pretty high up on the "run away" scale with this one.

There certainly won't be builders queueing up, to price it!
