So there's actually an original bar where it was filmed?
What's the story behind "The Cheers Bar" then - was it used to make the series then turned into a commercial bar when filming and production stopped? Is it owned by a film studio or is it privately owned? I imagine they get people from all over the world popping in.

What was the spin off from Cheers with the two brothers who were both psychiatrists, that was funny! I forget what it was called though and I think one of the brothers was called "Nial"

My favourite comedies come from the 1970s. Rising Damp is possibly the best ever. On The Buses was brilliant, as was Citizen Smith, Get Some In and Steptoe and Son. Fawlty Towers is great although I never liked Monty Python much. The Comedians was a must watch, the original and best stand-up comedy.

On to the 80s I loved The Young Ones, Brass, Watching and Blackadder, as well as the great American comedies Police Squad, Taxi and Soap. I would love to see Soap again. Possibly not politically correct however!

TV comedy declined from the 90s onward, although The Office, The Royle Family, Father Ted, Fast Show, Vic Reeves, Rab C Nesbitt and Early Doors all had their moments. Comedy is now mostly illegal as there is always somebody offended by something in it.

What about comedians? Who's the one with the weird laugh and the square head. I can't think of his name.

I thought of Max Headroom, not Jimmy Carr when I first read this. Jimmy Carr is about as funny as toothache.

"The Office" - One of the funniest programs ever made!

Bottom was just stupid funny, and saw Bottom live 3 (hooligans island) - which was good. More recently Not going out, I like Lee Mack and Mrs Brown’s Boys.

Many people loved Only Fools and Horses but I wasn't a fan. It was good when it started, with Grandad, the actor who died, but there were too many series, it just went on too long. Many of themes and ideas were similar to those in the far superior Citizen Smith, which isn't surprising as both comedies were from the same writer. One of the later episodes of Citizen Smith was titled "Only Fools and Horses ".

The whole family would stay up for Soap :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: on a Friday night....fantastic ..... Benson (In Soap) Jessica where brilliant.
