im trying to fit a towersat rf to a potterton perfoma 24 i have taken the loop out from connection 1 & 2 & wired it in to the reciver but it still doesn t work does any one know if i have to use the neutral wire thanks.

If I recall, the Performa 24 is a system boiler. Is the link between 1&2 on the main terminal block to the boiler? Your stat would not go there, it should be operating the valve that turns opens up the central heating water.
