I am process of looking for a terraced house in the Preston area. I viewed a Victorian property in Higher Walton just south of Preston today (white house). I noticed that the neighbours ridge tiles seem level but on the house I viewed the tiles bow and there appears to be sagging especially towards the chimney side. I had a look inside the loft and could not see anything untoward. Should I be concerned or is it just part of a 100 year old Victorian house that creeks? If I live to be over 100 I am sure I would start to creek!

It looks like a ridge beam rather than a ridge board, so designed to take (some of) the load of the roof. Ridge boards would normally have struts to support a pair of purlins at the mid point of the rafters. You could add struts to support the ridge if there is a central wall to transfer the load. Worth pursuing with a survey if you like the house and the price can always be adjusted post offer post survey.
Needs a roof rebuild.
