Riello 2.2 burner

Well with a 4ft header I dont know how likely it is that air is somehow finding its way to the pump inlet. The way these pumps operate is that they have a far greater capacity than the burner can ever need and they spill back the surplus to the pump inlet. That means the pump heats up quite quickly. You are looking at really close tolerances within the pump and then you have the SOV bolted on top and I guess its possible that the warming of the pump might mitigate a discrete problem that exists when the pump is cold - just a thought.

If its a "normal" startup Lockout then it should do a prepurge for 12 secs, the oil SOV should open (actually closes on my G5X)) and shouldn't Lockout for another full 5 secs. The oil (wash?) pressure should be, I think, around 5bar while the prepurge is taking place, and then rise to its normal set pressure when the SOV is energised. Check the coil resistance but if the oil pressure is rising to normal at the end of the prepurge then unlikely that the coil is the problem. Also check/renew the flexible oil hose.

Like I said, runs perfect after trying to start for a few minutes, does`nt lockout at any stage I think you have a different burner to me(RDB 2.2BX 21/27)
