Drifting somewhat but..

A friend I've known since forever retired a few years ago and his biggest gripe was, believe it or not, the elf & safety.

Things he had done, safely, since he went into scaffolding and leaping around on 'his turf' up above were now completely taboo! So even the simplest and low risk task had become silly and long-winded.

In his own words he could no longer do something a child of our, my, generation would consider a no-brainer and "I'm trussed up like a effin' baby bouncing in a doorway".

I wouldn't know; just quoting my bud...

Well I haven't done his job in building, but he was referring to the safety harnesses and stuff you guys have to wear when working up what 'they' classed as high.
