Hi,

Haven't bought it yet, but just wondered if I'm okay wiring it from the junction box the Sec Floods are already on?

Or would anyone reccomend the battery powered versions?

Thanks as always!!

Into the Lighting circuit or Ring final? Make sure it's a maintenance free junction box if you do?

There is already a junction box.

Use it

In 20 years we will be blaming these MF boxes for faults I tell you! Excluding light circuits hopefully.

Cheers lads.. yeah got a couple of whiska boxes on the walls for floods so it's either com off them, or get in the loft and drill outside.. and come of the lighting circuit?

I replaced two outdoor security lights with Ring security camera lights. I removed the old junction boxes as there were in a bit of a state and added new ones. I wouldn't call them maintenance free. The existing power cables were fed into them, as were the cables from the Ring camera lights.

The only 'messing about' I found was achieving a good internet connection to our router. For one I had to use a TP Link extender in an adjacent room.

I certainly wouldn't recommend battery-powered ones.
