What's the big deal about walking down the middle of a road playing a bugle and banging a drum? I mean, why would anyone want to do it anyway? And why don't they just join the boy scouts? (overgrown kids)

I wouldn't put the rioting in NI totally down to the Loyal Orange Lodge Marches.
But, The annual 12th July Parades are not so far away, but we are in the marching season and things get a bit heated, the closer to the 12th it gets!
It's like what has already mentioned, a lot of them have firk all to do, so they carry on.
There are a lot of people that have worked very hard for peace and great sacrifices have been taken, but unfortunately it has become a way of life for some and they find it difficult to adjust.

Too true, the3y should ban marching altogether. Its always been the same, proddys want to march through catholic areas and ca5tholics want to march through proddy areas, its pretty ridiculous and obviously taunting trouble.
Perhaps it will die with this generation, fingers crossed.

I hope it doesn't die with this or any other generation. As a member of the LOL and and APOD I am proud of my history and culture. I am a member of the LOL to promote and uphold my Christain faith and do not aim to offend anyone by it.


As another poster says there is a difference between Catholics and Republicans.

Also I think some of the rioting is related to ethic cleansing which is going on all over Northern Ireland and noone bats an eyelid This is happening on both sides where one lot wants the other lot to move out.

Religious belief I believe exists, that someone needs something to believe in, but I believe, through Science, that God doesn't exist, and if anyone worships a false God, then they are damned to Hell forever...

So there are so many God idols, one must be wrong, so there are a load of people that are in damnation for worshiping the wrong God.

Many Apple computer owners worship the company Apple as a God, with it's shiny white products. And damn PC ownership, as the use of the Devil..but really? Science is God...but people don't worship that, they follow a random book, and get brainwashed every Sunday.

I feel that generally older people attend church, to prove they are still alive, so when the parisheners say, 'Oh look, Old Mary hasn't turned up tonight', she will be found dead at home, before the rot sets in.
