Ripping out central heating

I'm not gonna ripping out quickly, I take time with care. Cos when you drain down, there sometime left over water, black water, where pipes drop inside floorboard, when you lift out, all that water may run out the other end, spilling on carpets, I use pipeslice which is easy to use, tip is start from top ( tank in loft down to ground floor radiators, that give enough time to drainout any left over water.

Thanks Dan, good tips. yeah am planning to start from the top down.... so far have managed to cut and block the rising cold-main (after tracing it back and forwards and up and down through our crazy old house), drain the hot water system and most of the heating system (expansion tank empty and most of the system - no drain cocks though - had to use the one in the boiler....) - 1 rad off - and yeah had a bit of black tar like stuff (but luckily no carpets to ruin - house is bare boards !)
