I have just ordered some made to measure roller blinds for 4 bedroom windows of the same size.

I measured the recess as per the instructions on the website and they have came and they are not right.

I checked all 4 windows and they are square and I had out down 45" as the width. The blinds have arrived today and they are about 2cm short. I have re-checked the measurement and I should have put down 45.5" - I don't know how the hell I missed it last week.

Is there anything that could be done to still fit these blinds as I'll never get my money back?

Fit a planed timber batten the appropriate depth to the window head and then fix the blind to that. Paint it to match the wall or blind.

Alternatively lower the head of the wondow or raise the cill! :D

good advice but i think it is the width that is too small, so fit the batten to one or both of the sides.

I'm going to try and top fix the brackets, the blinds are wide enough for the window, just not quite the width between the two opposite walls.
