roller shutter belt/cord replacement

Basically I have got roller security shutters fitted to my new house and some of the belts internally are frayed, has any one any experience in replacing the belts, ie easy or not and where I might get replacement belt/cord from.

Generally Italian or Spanish imports.

The house might be new to the OP not necessarily a "new" house.

Possibly. I suppose the OPs posting could be slightly ambiguous, I just read it as being a 'new' house!

Sorry all, obviously not a brand new house but new for me. will put up a pic of the belt when I move in next month.
