Hi all

I have a quick question...

I am looking at ordering some made to measure blinds and I have a square (U shaped) bay window

In all the guides I read it says to take into account the blind roller space and add the handle to this amount...

But if the amount my handle comes out is less than the blind roller space ie the Roman blind should not hit the handle anyway - is it actually a problem and should I still be including it in my counts?

Eg the Roman blind space is 50cm but my handle comes out 25cm

so do I need to adjust for 75cm or keep it as 50cm? I feel like 50cm is more sensible?

help!

As part of my construction job, I also sell and fit blinds. There's a technique using card to measure bay window sizes etc.. but I never let on because it's part of my service and price to get the blinds right.

Suffice to say, I never recommend Roman blinds for bay windows because the bulk of the fabric when they're open always hit one another.
