Has anyone seen blind mounts on a sash window, that look like this? (Least I am assuming they are blind mounts).

Essentially there is an eye on the left side mount and a u-shape bit on the right side mount.

I really want to find a roller or roman blind that would fit nice and neatly into these rather than fixing cheap plastic mounts to the window.

Hi, burns863.

From what can be seen, the fitting that you have imaged appears to be shall I say, historic?

At a guess the Property is Victorian? Possibly Georgian?

The fitting you want to re-use, and quite correctly, I am all in favour of retaining as many "features" as possible in any property. will be specifically designed for a particular system, not now available?

Suggestion? how about you remove the metal elements, leaving the timber brackets then fit the new attachments so the new blind to the "original" timber?

Ken.

Hi Ken,

Correct... Georgian! Well, it was built in 1795 but doesn't quite follow the usual symmetrical Georgian design, but that is probably because the downstairs was restructured when the place became a bakery in the late 1800s. I think it's more likely these windows were replaced around then too so maybe they are more likely Victorian.

Definitely looking to retain, and I did consider taking the metal parts off. My reluctance is somewhat due to laziness as I've literally just finished a full window and room refurb, I'm loathe to get the tools back out and start making a mess again, I was kinda hoping someone would say "yep... I know a brand that still makes blinds with those type of fittings".
