Hi All,
I am currently renovating my house and have a question regarding a roof dome I have in my utility room.
Basically I have been obtain quotes for a replacement dome on a supply only basis. The quotes I have been getting are around the £400 - £500 mark. I was wondering if there is a better/cheaper way of doing this.
My plasterer has told me that when he did his he built up the upstand to put a slope on it then got a upvc double glazed unit fitted to it. Then he got the roofer to felt around it.
I have to say I am not too convinced about this as I can't see where/how the water would run off?
Any thoughts/comments/suggestions would be most welcome as I am lothed to spend £500 on something that will just haze over in a few years time like the current one.
Thanks
Kam
