hi
I am just writing up my specs for building regs and am trying to work out the best insulation to use.
I will have 50 x 100mm roof rafters and I need as much head room in the roof as it is like a loft.
Any ideas would be a great help.

Cheers
Guy

you could build a 'warm deck' roof where the insulation is fitted across the top of the rafters. manufacturers of the thin multi layered foil roll insulation say that their product stapled to the top of the rafters is as good as any of the rigid, thicker slab type (kingspan or cellotex).

the product i'm referring to has been accepted on staffs jobs local to my area. don't get what i'm suggesting confused with thinner, less laminated products such as this,

I assume that is the same as triso super 10?
Is the alufoil available in the uk?
