Hi,
Carrying out a flat roof extension with warm deck.
Just wondering what’s the best way to go about the side walls with the noggins.
I’m currently doing PIR insulation in cavity tied back to thermalite block.
Would you stop the Internal block height at the usual wall plate height and continue with three wall plates going around, fixing noggins down to it or do it like the same standard gable ladder soffit where the blocks are cut out and timber is cemented in.
I feel like keeping the blocks running higher than wall plate is better, maybe more solid and air tight, but doubt there’s much difference.
Similar to these 2 photos I’ve attached
Cheers
