Hi all
I have a standard terraced cottage - pitched roof.
At the rear, in the bedroom, there is a ludicrous noise when it is windy (as if someone is hiding in the roof space and pretending to be a ghost / owl)! I assume this is the wind getting in a gap somewhere (can't be heard in other rooms). Above this same window, water damage has appeared on the ceiling (going back about a foot sq from the window). Is this most likely to be a loose tile (causing wind entrance and leak damage) - or some other problem (with guttering perhaps??).
I am a novice and will be calling a roofer - your initial help will help put my mind at rest.
