Hope someone can help, i what to insulate my roof along the rafters and eaves i have read that you must keep a gap of 50mm between the tiles and insulation, to aid ventilation. my question is that my roof is constructed of boarded planks with tiles on top so the tiles are not exposed, house was built in 1938. do i still need to leave a gap or can i fit the insulation directly onto the planks?
