Hello
I need to insulate my pitched roof, but I would like to maintain the look of a wooden roof.
A couple of questions:
1. Would I need to leave a 25mm gap between the wood that's just below the roof tiles (don't know the name) and the insulation boards for ventilation if there is no membrane?
2. I'm thinking of using 25mm insulation board in between the rafters. I had an idea of fixing some angle brackets to the rafters, have the insulation sit on top of the brackets, then fix cladding to the underside of the brackets to achieve the same look as the original roof. Sound good or is there a simpler way? (is there a panel that looks like wooden slats?).
Thanks very much for your time.
