Roofing - Tile Underlay

Noticed in certain areas recently fitting Eaves protectors, the Tile underlay of 30 yrs is rotting from winter frosts etc. approx. 300mm from its edges to the gutter. The battens appear to be dry and ok.

Which underlay is best suited to replace the rotting felt to work with the eave protectors.

Any underlay will do! If you remove the bottom baton
you can slide the new underlay under the old using
the felt support trays as a guide then nail the baton
back on.
