Hi there. I have a Potterton ep2001 central heating programmer and an ACL model ts142 room thermostat. I borght a new room thermostat and tried to put it in but failed as i must have wired it up wrong. I then tried to put the old one back on ( i had previously made a note of what wire went where) and cant get anything to work now. When i try to put the central heating or water onto "continuous", i can see its changed to "cont" but it wont light up red and wont do anything. I have taken the battery out of the programmer to try and reset it but with no success. Any help on this would be appreiciated as i cant get an electician for over a week.

Thanks

Sounds like you may have popped a fuse when you wired it up in correctly, is there a fused spur unit for the central heating somewhere? Also, you may try a heating engineer as this is right up their street!!
