Room thermostats, DIY change

After 12 years my Sunvic 5101 thermostat is on the blink.
I have a brand new in the box Sunvic 5201 can I use it?

The 5101 has three wires. Live to 1. neutral to 2. And load heating to 8
Is it a straight swap or do I need extra wiring/bridge wiring across other terminals?
The present installation has only 3 wires plus an unused earth.

The wiring is identical between the 2 models.
